  1. Download ThrottleStop.
  2. Once download, run the program in administrator mode.
  3. Check “Set CPU Multiplier.”
  4. Uncheck “BD PROCHOT.”
  5. Hit save and then turn on.
  6. Now see your CPU speed.

If you face “mfc120u.dll” or similar .dll not found error while running ThrottleStop, download the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 package and install it. If you are running 64-bit operating system, the install both x86 and x64 versions of the software. For those running 32-bit windows, installing x86 only will solve the problem.
