Pre-requisites:

  • TWRP Recovery [link will be updated when recovery is available]
  • Magisk Manager (Download and copy it in your device internal or external storage)
  • ADB.
  • Mi Unlock tool

How to Unlock Redmi 7 Bootloader

To unlock Redmi 7 bootloader,

  1. Download Mi Unlock Tool.
  2. Sign-in with your Mi Account on your device.
  3. Go to Settings > About Phone > MIUI version and MIUI Version 7 Times.
  4. Now go to Settings > Additional Settings > Developer Options and check “OEM unlocking” [this should be already checked] and “USB debugging.”
  5. Turn off your device.
  6. Press and hold Volume Down + Power button until you see the Fastboot screen.
  7. Connect your device to PC.
  8. Run Mi Unlock Tool.
  9. Sign-in with your Mi account.
  10. Start the unlock process.
  11. Follow on-screen instructions.
  12. Reboot your device.

Steps:

  1. Make sure your device bootloader is unlocked.
  2. Go to Settings > About Phone > MIUI version and MIUI Version 7 Times.
  3. Now go to Settings > Additional Settings > Developer Options and check “OEM unlocking” [this should be already checked] and “USB debugging.”
  4. Extract ADB folder on your pc and navigate to that folder.
  5. Hold Shift + Left click and select “Open command window here.”
  6. Turn off your device.

  8. Connect your device to PC.
  9. In CMD, type:

    fastboot flash recovery [twrp recovery name].img
