Making this cool sticky plaything is not a difficult task. You just need 3 to 4 ingredients and after mixing them in proper proportions, you will have a goop to play with.

How To Make Slime with Glue and Borax

Ingredients:

  • School Glue
  • Borax (Sodium tetraborate)
  • Water
  • Two bowls

Optional Ingredients:

  • Food Color

Steps:

  1. In a bowl mix 1 oz. glue with ¼ cup water. You can also add food color of your choice to make the slime look cooler.
  2. Add ¼ cup of Sodium Tetraborate (Borax) Solution to the glue and water mixture and stir slowly.
  3. Continue stirring until you see the slime being formed.

Noe that the quality of the goop will depend on how much you stir, dig and knead the mixture. You will feel the stickiness of the mixture at the start but it will eventually become non-sticky.

  • Liquid Detergent

Note: Any liquid detergent will do but Tide is recommended by many as it gives the best possible end result. But you can keep on experimenting to see which one gives you the best result.

Optional Ingredients

  • Shaving Cream
  • Food Color

  1. Add some liquid glue into a bowl.
  2. Add shaving cream to make the slime fluffy.
  3. Add food color to make your slime look cooler.
  4. Add liquid detergent to the mixture in the ratio of 1:4 i.e. 1 part detergent and 4 part glue. Keep on adding ingredients as required.
  5. Continue stirring until you see the slime being formed.
